Niewiele
mam wspólnego ze sztuką: namalowałam w życiu parę obrazków, mam
dość określony smak w tej dziedzinie, kilku ulubionych klasyków
(Gauguin, Chagall, Munch...). Zajmuję się teorią języka i
komunikacji, także w praktyce uczę skutecznej komunikacji. No i
przekładam (może tym jestem najbardziej – tłumaczką).
Niedawno
okazało się jednak, że pod wieloma względami naprawdę niewiele
wiem o sztuce :). Przynajmniej w wymiarze praktycznym – to, co mam
na koncie, to kilka lektur (wśród nich może dla mnie najważniejszy
tekst o sztuce „O źródle dzieła sztuki” Heideggera,
najważniejszy, bo próbuje przejaśnić stosunek sztuki do prawdy
jako nieskrytości). Tym ciekawiej było towarzyszyć artystom –
jako tłumaczka – w dyskusjach o materiałach potrzebnych do
wykonania linorytów, drzeworytów… Dawno tak dużo się w tak
krótkim czasie nie dowiedziałam :)

To
towarzyszenie ludziom sztuki miało miejsce w kontekście planowanego
wydarzenia, które mieści się w formule dialogu. I to już jest,
jak najbardziej, moja domena. Od jakiegoś czasu w horyzoncie moich
działań pojawia się bowiem „dialog” (filozofia dialogu,
podręcznik do historii pisany w dialogu przez autorów polskich i
niemieckich, kontakt z pewnym indologiem, który bada indyjską
filozofię dialogu).

i 16 października gościliśmy w Chojnicach trójkę osób, które
zaangażowały się w przygotowanie niemiecko-polskich warsztatów
plastycznych dla młodzieży stąd i z Emsdetten – miasta
partnerskiego Chojnic. W spotkaniach roboczych uczestniczyli Hubertus
Jelkmann (artysta i nauczyciel sztuki), Tanja Holthaus
(nauczycielka), Bernd Lohmann (ze Stowarzyszenia Partnerstwa Miast w
Emsdetten), Ela Jakubowska (artystka i animatorka zajęć
plastycznych, Fundacja Inspiria), Radek Krajewicz (dyrektor Centrum Kultury w
Chojnicach) i ja (Fundacja Zarzewie).
Warsztaty
mają się odbyć w Chojnicach, w kwietniu 2019 r. Chcemy, żeby
młodzi ludzie wspólnie wykonali kilka prac, które przedstawią
Chojnice. I żeby się spotkali, poznali, pobyli ze sobą…

Wymyśliłam
i zrealizowałam projekt „Moje miejsce we wszechświecie”,
przeprowadzony w Człuchowie i w Lichnowach k. Chojnic. Ten projekt
to jest jednak coś zasadniczo innego – ze względu na poziom
artystyczny, który zapowiada się wysoko, i ze względu na
międzynarodową formułę :)
Hubertus
Jelkmann, który wcześniej znał i rysował Chojnice tylko ze zdjęć,
powiedział, kiedy stanął w mieście: „Tak sobie tego nie
wyobrażałem, wszystko jest o wiele większe, jest bardziej
miejsko”. Później jeszcze dziwił się, także przy mnie, że
Chojnice mają mniej więcej tylu mieszkańców, co Emsdetten. Bo są
tu akcenty naprawdę wielkomiejskie, są ślady dawnej
wielokulturowości miasta…

Ciekawą
rzeczą było dla mnie obserwować Hubertusa, który ogląda miasto. Rzadko się widzi takie oglądanie. Wydawało się, że chce zajrzeć,
a może nawet zagląda pod powierzchnię rzeczy albo że rzeczy same
go zagadują, przemawiają do niego. Znam jeszcze tylko jednego
człowieka, który – inaczej – zagląda pod powierzchnię rzeczy.
Spotkanie
było bardzo owocne, otworzyły się ciekawe perspektywy. Udało nam
się wspólnie przyjąć ramową koncepcję warsztatów (co do
techniki wykonania prac podążyliśmy za jedną z propozycji
Hubertusa) i ustalić, co będzie konieczne do zrobienia wcześniej
(np. oswojenie młodzieży, która ma wziąć udział w warsztatach,
z technikami pracy, które będą stosowane). Dzięki Eli udało się
nam ustalić, co zrobić, żeby nie przytłoczyła nas presja
wytworzenia określonych rezultatów, żeby nie utracić wymiaru
spotkania. Bardzo otwarcie, ale i dojrzale (tzn. przyjmując wiele,
ale wskazując też na ograniczenia) do naszego przedsięwzięcia
podszedł Radek – naprawdę właściwy człowiek na właściwym
miejscu :). Tanja i ja zgodziłyśmy się co do tego, że nie można
dzieci przytłoczyć historią miejsca; byłam pod dużym wrażeniem
jej świadomości pedagogicznej. Z takim teamem naprawdę chce się
coś robić.

Dla
mnie osobiście ważnym doświadczeniem było doświadczenie
mediatorki, tzn. kogoś, kto jest pomiędzy tymi, którzy chcą coś
zrobić razem (zrobić to tak, żeby łączyć, być mostem, a nie
dzielić) – nie tylko jako tłumaczki. Najbardziej cieszy mnie
jednak otwartość, jaką umieliśmy okazać, i uważność, z jaką
potrafiliśmy siebie słuchać.
Miłym
akcentem wieńczącym była kolacja, na którą zaprosili nas
przedstawiciele Urzędu Miasta w Chojnicach: Asia Gappa i Robert
Wajlonis. Asia zadbała także o pokazanie gościom miasta od strony
inwestycji i historii.

Po
wyjeździe przyjaciół z Niemiec rozpoczęły się w Chojnicach Dni
Tischnerowskie. Napiszę o nich osobno. Tu jednak, już teraz
nawiązując do nich, przywołam słowa Tischnera (choć przypomina
się też Stachura): „Dla każdego jest miejsce pod słońcem. Aby
się porozumieć, wystarczy zrozumieć. Aby zrozumieć, potrzeba
trochę dobrej woli i chwili czasu. Zdumiewające jest jednak to, że
tego niewiele brakuje.” Tak, brakuje niemal wciąż i niemal na
każdym kroku. Nie zabrakło podczas naszych spotkań :)

I do not have much
in common with art: in my life I have painted a few pictures, I have
specific taste in this field, several favorite classics (Gauguin,
Chagall, Munch ...).
I deal with the
theory of language and communication, I also teach effective
communication in practice. Well, I also translate (and maybe that is
who I am the most - a translator).
Recently, however,
it turned out that I really do not know that much about art :). At
least in the practical dimension - what I have in my account is a few
readings
(among them, the
most important text for me about the art "The origin of the Work
of Art" by
Heidegger - the most
important one, because it tries to clear the relationship between art
and truth as unconcealment [Unverborgenheit]). So it was even more
interesting to accompany the artists - as a translator - in
discussions about materials needed to make linocuts, woodcuts ... It
is been a while since I have learnt that much in such a short time.

This accompanying
people of art took place in the context of the planned event, within
the dialogue formula. And that is eventually my domain. For some time
now, in the horizon of my actions appears “a dialogue"
(philosophy of dialogue, history handbook written in a form of a
dialogue by Polish and German authors, contact with an indologist who
researches the Indian philosophy of a dialogue).
Recently (15/16th
October) we hosted in Chojnice three guests who were involved in
preparation of
German-Polish art workshops for young people of Chojnice and
Emsdetten - the twin city of Chojnice. In working meetings
participated: Hubertus Jelkmann (an artist and an art teacher), Tanja
Holthaus (a teacher), Bernd Lohmann (from the Association of Towns
Partnerships in Emsdetten), Ela Jakubowska (an artist and an animator
of an art classes, Inspiria Foundation), Radek Krajewicz (a director of the Cultural
Center in Chojnice) and me (Zarzewie Foundation).
The workshops are to
take place in Chojnice, in April 2019. The goal of the event is to
get Polish and German young people together and to perform some works
that present Chojnice. But we also want them to simply meet each
other, to stay with each other …
In the past I
invented and carried out the project "My place in the universe"
in
Człuchów and in
Lichnowy near Chojnice. This project, however, is something
fundamentally different - due to the artistic level that promises to
be high, and because of its international formula :)
Hubertus Jelkmann,
who previously knew and drew Chojnice only from photographs, said
when he stood in the
city: "I did not imagine it, everything is so much bigger,
it's more urban."
Later he seemed surprised that Chojnice had more or less as many
inhabitants as Emsdetten. There are indeed the big city accents here
and traces of the former multiculturalism of the town …
It was an
interesting experience for me to observe Hubertus, when he was
sightseeing the town. Rarely one can see such a sightseeing. It
seemed like he wanted to look, and maybe even looked under the
surface of things, or that things themselves talk to him, speak to
him. Previously I knew yet only one man who looks under the surface
of things like that.
The meeting was very
fruitful, interesting perspectives were opened. We managed to
jointly adopt the
framework concept of the workshops (as to the technique of carrying
out the works we followed one of Hubertus' proposals). We also
decided what is necessary to be done earlier (ex.: to familiarize
young people, who are to take part in workshops, with the technics of
the work that will be used). Thanks to Ela, we were able to determine
what to do, not to we get overwhelmed by the pressure of producing
certain results, not to lose the dimension of the meeting. Very
openly, but also mature (i.e., opening the space for our actions, but
also pointing to the limitations) Radek approached our undertaking -
really the right man in the right place :). Tanja and I agreed that
we shall not let children to get overwhelmed with the history of the
place; I was very impressed with her pedagogical awareness. With such
a team, you really want to do something.
For me personally
the experience of a mediator (so my role was not simply to be a
translator), i.e. someone, who is between those who want to do
something together (to do something to connect, to build a bridge,
instead of dividing), was very important. What pleases me the most is
the openness, we could show one to another as well as the mindfulness
with which we could listen to each other.
A nice highlight of
the event was a dinner we got invited for by the representatives of
the
City Hall in
Chojnice: Asia Gappa and Robert Wajlonis. Moreover Asia took care of
showing the city from the investment and the historical side to our
guests.
After the departure
of our German friends, the Tischner Days began in Chojnice.
I will write about
them separately. Here, however, referring to them now, I will call
for words of Tischner (though Stachura is also reminded): "There
is a place for everyone under the sun. In order to communicate, it is
enough to understand. To understand, some good will is needed and a
moment of time. It is amazing, however, that this not much is still
missing." Yes, missing almost all the time and almost
everywhere. But it was not missed during our meeting :)
